The Producers of The 33rd Annual Harmony Festival, in association with PREMIER 2011 Sponsors, Klean Kanteen, U.S. Pure Water and Green Mary remain committed to green and sustainable practices, acting locally while thinking globally.
In 2011 the Harmony Festival will implement a self-service filtered water filling program that provides all attendees FREE access to multiple filtered water filling stations throughout the festival. Participate in the success of this new program by promoting the repeated use of your container at the festival.
"The Harmony Festival was one of the first large Northern California events to do full-on greening and we've been working to incorporate water refill stations at this formal level for years. It is with tremendous enthusiasm that we make big strides toward human and planetary health, take big steps away from plastic water bottles and fully rely on our own reusable, refillable water bottles for hydration in 2011.
Instead of paying $2-$3 for a plastic bottle of water, visit the Green Mary Hydration Station in The Liquid Lounge or any one of our several large free-flowing water stations."

While the five gallon jugs are still polycarbonate, we do not store water in them before or after the event, but only use them to hold our newly filtered local water. If anyone hears of a better, practical container that is not plastic, lighter and less fragile than glass, do let us know.
Making the personal global, analyzing our daily habits, changing them to change the world.
Green Mary event waste diversion features optional, highly encouraged water filtration systems to provide free, local filtered water to all participants as we phase out single-use plastic water bottles and indeed all plastics from event production, our landfills, our bodies, and our seas.
Unsustainable: Over 60 million plastic bottles to the landfill every day in this country, and no whining: "but I recycle..."
